May 13,  2017 – Cottages on Lake Nipissing

Spring cleaning is in full swing!

Just 6 days until our first guests arrive and the place looks great. Our cleaning staff has been working extremely hard getting all the cottages cleaned and prepped for opening. There’s 3 to 4 of us working on the cottages and we get 2 cottages done a day, putting in 8/9 hours a day. (That’s the equivalent of  12 to 15 hours of cleaning per each cottage – You can only imagine how clean they are:) We’ve got 3 more cottages to go.

We’ve installed all new smoke/carbon monoxide detectors and all fire extinguishers are professionally inspected yearly.

The never ending lists have been widdled down to only 2 lists and Scott & I will do the final walk about mid next week. Our staff has a book they write down any issues in all the cottages so Scott & I will go from cottage to cottage and try to get all issues dealt with prior to our guests arriving.
These 3 weeks before opening are our busiest and we’re working 10-12 hour days 7 days a week. We’ll get a break once our guests arrive:)
