Fall Clean-up continues

It’s hard to believe a month has already past since we closed for the season. Scott has been working, non-stop, as usual. He’s been clearing out downed trees and shredding tonnes of underbrush to clean up key areas around the resort. One of the best purchases we ever made was the chipper/shredder that he attaches to his tractor.

We had a nasty storm come through a little over a week ago. It didn’t last long but it did down trees and knocked out power for a couple of hours. I was driving down our lane way when I noticed a “tree” that had severe damage to the lower part of it. (I thought Scott may have backed into it with the tractor) It was too funny when Scott called me and said that it wasn’t a “tree” but a huge branch from one of our mega trees that had come off during the storm and landed upright beside the driveway. The pictures show the branch that came off in the storm. I’m glad I wasn’t walking by when this thing came down.
