Woke up to -1C this morning. We got approximately 2 cms of snow overnight.
They are calling for a high of 3C today and only dropping to 2C overnight.

It’s currently raining and our outdoor thermometer is reading 4.8C.  It’s warm out there.

Some brave souls out fishing at the point. I’m not sure it’s worth the risk but obviously there’s enough ice for them to be out there.

It’s very slushy out on the lake there’s ~ 3.5″ of ice with an inch or so of slush on top.  This rain will get rid of any snow currently covering the ice and when the deep freeze hits late tomorrow night we should have ideal conditions for growing ice.
