Fishing turned on around 7:30 p.m.

Scott & I got out last night on the lake for 2 reasons:  to enjoy the beautiful evening & to do some fishing.
We headed out around 5 p.m. and for the first couple of hours it was hard to even get a nibble – although we were marking lots of fish.
We headed out to the J9 marker around 7’ish and it was like a switch got flipped. Fishing turned on around 7:30 – 8:00 p.m. It seemed like every time we put a line in we caught a fish. We estimate we caught over 30 fish and 95% of them were between 7:30 & 9:00 p.m. We caught  perch, smallmouth bass, loads of Walleye (2 just a cm or two shy of keepers) and a sheephead I thought was going to snap my line. Scott and I released all the fish we caught. We were just using jigheads with worms and Scott tried a worm harness for a while. The weather was amazing yesterday – Sunny &  27C.
