Ice Fishing at Glen Echo Cottages is Back!

We’re excited to announce that ice fishing is returning to Glen Echo Cottages for the 2025 season!

After years away, we’ve brought ice huts back in a big way — with brand-new, fully equipped bungalows and a deluxe cottage and day hut package. Each unit was designed from the ground up to offer warmth, comfort, and convenience while you enjoy the incredible winter fishing Lake Nipissing has to offer.

We’ve put a lot of care into these brand-new bungalows — from LED lighting to stocked kitchens, TVs, and warm bedding spaces, they’re built to make your time on the ice comfortable, clean, and reliable.

What’s Available

– Four 6-person ice bungalows
– Three 8-person ice bungalows
– One fully winterized 8-person cottage with a private heated day hut

Whether you’re a seasoned angler or a group looking for a comfortable weekend on the ice, Glen Echo Cottages offers a well-rounded, high-quality experience built around simple comfort and thoughtful details.

What’s Included

Every ice fishing stay includes:
– Pre-drilled fishing holes with scoop and catch pail
– Propane heat and high-efficiency insulation
– Sleeping bunks with thick foam mattresses
– In-hut toilet
– Fully equipped kitchen with cooktop, oven, pots, pans, plates & utensils
– Dining table and seating area
– TV for entertainment
– Charging station for phones and electronics
– LED lighting
– Shuttle transportation to and from the huts
– Parking at the Glen Echo office (no on-ice parking)

Just bring your fishing gear, food/water, and sleeping bags — we’ll take care of the rest. Live bait and tackle available on-site (not included).

2025 Ice Fishing Rates

Season: January 1 – March 15 (ice permitting)

6-Person Ice Bungalow Sleeper Huts (10’x20′)

Weekend (Fri–Sun): $250/person
Midweek (Tues–Thurs): $200/person
Extra Night: $300 (Based on availability)

8-Person Ice Bungalow Sleeper Huts (12’x23′)

Weekend (Fri–Sun): $250/person
Midweek (Tues–Thurs): $200/person
Extra Night: $400 (Based on availability)

All hut rental prices are based off of max occupancy.

A $300 deposit is required to confirm your reservation.

Winterized Cottage + Private Day Hut (12’x20′) 8 people

Weekend (Fri–Sun): $300/person
Midweek (Tues–Thurs): $250/person
Extra Night: $500 (Based on availability)

Rates are posted for your entire stay, not per day

Includes:

– Space for up to 8 guests
– Full kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms & dining space
– Private heated day hut
– Daily shuttle to and from the hut

Bait & tackle available on site (not included).

Booking & Logistics

– 2-night minimum stay
– HST (13%) not included
– $300 deposit required to secure booking
– Check-in: 11:00 AM / Check-out: 1:00PM
– No on-ice parking – park at Glen Echo office and use shuttle service
– Ice conditions are monitored daily
– No refunds due to early departure or weather unless deemed unsafe
