Restocking has begun
April 20, 2017
Scott spent almost 5 hours down @ Wasi Falls volunteering his time to help with the restocking efforts! I have to bug him to take photos because he gets so caught up in the process. (Although, he did take this one of Steve in the hatchery).
The big females were still green (meaning not ready to give up their eggs:), so they only collected ~ 205,000 eggs.
The group, (Lake Nipissing Stakeholders Association), has permission to collect 2,000,000 eggs. Once collected the eggs are taken to the hatchery.
Thankfully it was a nice day so I didn’t mind being outdoors raking and throwing down tonnes of grass seed. It’s supposed to rain this evening so here’s hoping for some quick growing grass:)
