A little over a month to go before opening. Lake Nipissing opens for fishing on the 3rd Saturday in May, which falls on May 20th this year. We are finally seeing quite a bit of open water across the channel with only a little ice across the way.

The guys are talking about restocking soon. They’ll  be moving the hatchery to it’s new location later this week and getting it prepared for operation.

It was a high of 10C this afternoon which will definitely help melt some of the remaining snow &  ice around the property. We still have pockets of snow & ice in locations where the sun does not shine:)

Scott’s been working non-stop. All projects are nearing completion so we should be in great shape to get the docks and boats out in early May.  I’ve notified my cleaning staff and we’ll be starting Spring cleaning soon. It’ll be controlled chaos for a few weeks and then our guests will arrive. Can’t wait!!!
