Scott & I are home after spending a couple of weeks in South Carolina. There is no shortage of alligators in the south!!! Every walk we went on we saw at least one gator. Scott had no fear walking up to the alligators….I think he thought he was on of the “Gator Boys”.  I, on the other hand, have a healthy dose of self-preservation and was quite happy to admire them from afar! The above photo shows Scott with a 10-12′ gator close @ hand.

Doesn’t take long to get accustomed to 75/80F.  We walked for miles, swam and slept in daily – it was a very relaxing vacation! (In the States a couple of weeks and it doesn’t take long to start using fahrenheit & miles)

We came home to tonnes of water on the lake. I now know why most operators have already pulled their ice huts, conditions are nasty. It’s currently -2C outside with freezing rain.

Now it’s time to get to work…. Scott’s already down doing some drywall work in Lakeview Cottage as well as finishing the new store fixtures.
