Restocking
Great News!!!
Scott is the President of the Lake Nipissing Stakeholders Association (LNSA) and he met with the MNRF North Bay yesterday regarding restocking this Spring.
The MNRF has renewed the LNSA’s licence and are allowing them to restock 2,000,000 Walleye eggs this Spring. The MNRF will be fully involved in the restocking efforts this year.
On another note we’ve read the the Nipissing First Nations has signed a “Memorandum of Understanding” with the MNRF to manage the fishery in Lake Nipissing. One of First Nations new regulations that came into effect in 2015 is that they are reopening their fish hatchery with the intent to seed barren spawning grounds and they will study the impact over the next several years.
Lake Nipissing can only benefit from these restocking efforts!
Would like to help with restocking, and others from work will help as well is there something I can post up at work to get volunteers to assist?
Thank you for your interest,

Because the MNR is participating this year the number of volunteers required has been drastically reduced. If we can count on you then we should have enough, no need to post anything at work.
Regards
Scott
