Mild Winter
What a mild winter this has been. It’s hard to believe we are at the end of January with the forecast showing a high of 4C tomorrow.
Today is supposed to warm up to 0C and remain that temp overnight.
We are currently measuring 9″ of ice in locations not flooded and 10″ to 12″ where Scott flooded. It’s not the good clear ice – it’s opaque in colour. Scott moved one of our day huts off of where he flooded and within a day he had to move it because the water was coming up all around it. What a difference flooding makes!!!
I was amazed when watching the news from southern Ontario and not an ounce of snow – It looks almost spring like down there.
All of our guests arrived yesterday so we’ll see how they do this weekend.
