Walleye fishing closes on October 15th.
Scott and I enjoyed a beautiful evening out on Callander Bay. Fishing turned on around 6:30 – 7:00 p.m. We were surprised that we were catching Walleye in both 12′ & 23′ of water. We caught several species and over 20 fish in a couple of hours.
Species caught: Walleye, Pike, Perch, Catfish and Rock Bass.
The above photo shows one of my catches! Unfortunately I only caught 6 fish while Scott caught well over a dozen. I put that down to the fact that he was controlling our location via the trolling motor:)
Just a reminder that Lake Nipissing’s Walleye season closes on October 15th.
We also close October 15th and will re-open for the ice fishing season on January 1st.
