Rescue of deer
December 8, 2014.
This poor deer has been stranded out on the ice in the channel for the last few days. Scott and I went out this morning to do what we could to get her back onto land. Thankfully the rescue was quick and uneventful and she was able to walk off into the woods on her own.
We currently have ~ 5″ of clear black ice. The surface is the smoothest I’ve ever seen it.
