We went to visit family for a few days and just got back yesterday. Scott finished installing the kitchen doors and the bathroom vanity he built. Reno complete!!! It’s amazing how bright the new kitchen looks!

The guys have painted the kitchen and bathroom. Scott and Tim have built all the kitchen cabinets, shelves, bathroom vanity and today gave them all a first coat of paint. Scott has installed the pot lights and you can see how bright the kitchen is going to be.

I get tired just thinking about how much work Scott has done in the past 5 days. Here he is with our son Tim, building the new kitchen cabinets.

Scott has built a header for some pot lights and has installed the linoleum flooring.

Scott has insulated and put up vapour barrier on the outside wall and he’s put up the drywall. You can see how little space there was for the toilet in the old washroom. Scott has moved the hot water heater so that he could remove the wall/cupboard and move the location of the toilet into the centre of the new space. (No longer a tight fit:)
December 10, 2014
Scott has updated the entire plumbing in the kitchen and bathroom. You can see some of the tight spots Scott had to crawl into in order to complete the work.

The renovation has now expanded into the washroom. Scott has taken the floors out of the kitchen and the bathroom so that he can completely redo the plumbing. Scott will be glad when he won’t have to crawl under the cottage anymore.
December 8, 2014.
Three weeks before we open for the ice fishing season and Scott has decided to tear out the old kitchen in Hilltop Cottage and build a new one. Follow the progress!
