Lake Nipissing is home to an impressive variety of fish species, making it a favorite destination for sport fishermen of all kinds. Anglers can expect to catch Walleye (Pickerel), Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike, Muskie, Perch, and Whitefish throughout the open water season. Glen Echo Cottages is located within Ontario’s Fisheries Management Zone 11, which sets the seasonal regulations for the lake. Key season openers include Walleye and Pike on the 3rd Saturday in May, Bass also on the 3rd Saturday in May, and Muskie on the 3rd Saturday in June.
