Evening Fish

Scott & I went out to enjoy a few hours down on the lake. We fished from 5 to 7 p.m. and happily the evening fish turned on from  around 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. At first I thought I’d never be able to actually bring a fish into the hut but luckily I managed to land a few. The above photo shows Scott holding a 17.5″ Walleye I caught….I had missed so many that I didn’t tell Scott while pulling in the line that the fish had some weight to it. It was only as it was coming out of the hole that Scott glanced over and then he came running telling me “don’t lose this one…it looks like a keeper” He was on his knees making sure this one got into the hut. It was too funny!

Woke up to -16C this morning with a high of -14C. It’s the start of a deep freeze over the next 5 days. It will be hard to get accustomed to the extreme cold!
